Test Engineer, Electronics Engineer
Raytheon (RTX) is hiring an Electrical Engineer I to support the Effector Guidance Electronics (EGE) department’s circuit card design processes. The role involves working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high‑quality, producible designs throughout the circuit card lifecycle.
What You Will Do- Support Electrical Component Engineers in selecting, specifying, and ensuring cost‑effective and robust parts for successful products.
- Evaluate risk and verification data packages that support component selections and provide justification to program customers.
- Identify parts for the preferred parts list, drive usage of standardized parts, recommend obsolescence mitigation, and meet customer component requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM major.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer- Technical working knowledge of electronic components (semiconductors, passive, or electromechanical) and their application.
- Board layout experience of single and multi‑lamination boards.
- PCB manufacturing and circuit card assembly experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively multi‑task.
