Raytheon Electrical Engineer - Computer Aided Designer Engineer; ECAD

Location:

Huntsville, AL

• Responsible for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from conception to manufacturing
• Creation of the PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers
• Conduct schematic capture, component placement, routing of traces, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation
• Utilize software such as Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and Down Stream Technologies Blue Print-PCB
• Design Rigid, Flex, and Rigid‑Flex assemblies
• Work on full designs, re‑spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside own discipline
• Interface daily with various engineering levels and disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, Producibility) to ensure overall design requirements are captured, with cost, cycle time, and producibility considerations

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret)
• U.S. citizenship required
• Experience with the electrical design process

• Working knowledge of analog and digital design layout
• Experience with board layout design tools
• Use of Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, and other Design Rule Checking software
• Ability to understand and interpret drawings as they relate to PCBs and CCA’s

Salary Range: $57,200 - $108,800 USD per year.
