Job Summary
Electrical Engineer I – Circuit Card Design – Huntsville, AL, USA (Onsite)
What You Will Do- Support the circuit card design process from concept through production.
- Work with electrical component engineers to select, specify, and evaluate parts, ensuring they are cost‑effective, robust, and application‑appropriate.
- Provide risk assessment, verification data, and justification for component selections to program customers.
- Develop and maintain a Preferred Parts List to drive standardized component usage and mitigate obsolescence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to produce high‑quality, manufacturable designs.
- Present findings through program design reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- U.S. citizenship required; must obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
- Technical working knowledge of electronic components (semiconductor, passive, electromechanical).
- Experience with board layout of single and multi‑lamination PCBs.
- Understanding of PCB manufacturing and circuit card assembly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to multitask.
Salary Range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, and other benefits depending on the business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement. Incentive compensation programs are available for eligible positions.
Additional RequirementsLocation:
Huntsville, Alabama. This is a U.S.
-based role; relocation within the U.S. may be required. The position requires a security clearance; the Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain it.
