As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing & production processes for the efficient/economical production of aerospace products. Responsible for integration of design requirements into processes and procedures through research and development of manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment, facilities, and systems to produce a quality product.

Leads planning and development of engineering artifacts to enable the turning of raw materials into finished and discrete products that satisfy design/system requirements. Provides guidance to design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.

Job Description This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

This role will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics specific to Production/Operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance production timelines. Leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, you will contribute to improving manufacturing techniques, ensuring Blue Origin’s continued innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT), key to building reliable vehicles for space exploration.
* Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.
* Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
* Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
* Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., precision machining, welding, brazing, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
* Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; develop and implement corrective actions that enhance reliability and performance.
* Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), supporting a safe and sustainable future in space.
* Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.
* Apply emerging AI technologies alongside traditional manufacturing engineering tools to optimize processes, reduce cycle times, and improve first-time quality
