These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

The Thermal Engineer Analyst will support Space Systems. Projects will include the Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter (LVSA) and other launch, landing or research systems. The analyst will work with Project Lead Engineers to provide analyses for space‑flight vehicles, systems, and components, document results of analyses, publish reports, and may support Working Groups at NASA MSFC.

• BS Degree in an engineering/technical discipline
• 5 years experience in thermal systems analysis
• Experience performing thermal analysis for hardware in extreme environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access

• Computational Fluid Dynamics experience to model fluid flow internal to a structure
• Experience with Thermal Desktop or Sinda Fluent
• Familiarity with NASA and spaceflight hardware

• US Citizenship with ability to attain/maintain government security clearance
