Radar Threat Systems - Senior Level Engineer
Radar Threat Systems is seeking a talented Electrical or Computer Engineer to join our diverse team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves creating unique solutions for complex problems in aviation & missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing.
Position Description- All-source intelligence analysis of foreign threat systems with a focus on multi-function phased-array radars and SAM systems. Analysis involves system performance assessments and design postulation of major subsystems.
- Threat system model development to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking and signal processing.
- Write technical briefings, papers and reports to reflect intelligence analysis and assessments of foreign threat systems.
- Ensure foreign threat systems are accurately characterized and modeled in technical databases such as EWIRDB.
- Excellent math skills. Fundamentals in electromagnetics, signals and systems, digital signal processing, and controls.
- Ability to apply these skills to modeling, radar/weapons systems analysis, algorithm development, RF hardware, HWIL support, and/or field-testing support.
- Comfortable interacting with and presenting to customers, coworkers and management.
- Experience modeling radar functions, threats, timeline, weapon system, clutter, EA/EP, etc.; analyzing probability of detection, waveform, intercept, defended area; developing detection processes, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter and EA mitigation, adaptive beamforming, target identification; RF hardware including transmitters, exciters, antennas, multi-channel receivers, high-bandwidth receivers, SOTA processors, RF lab equipment, and software development and test.
- Experience with MATLAB and Python.
- Good people skills and desire to work with a highly technical team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university and a minimum of ten years of applicable experience.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the year.
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Can lift 15 pounds at times.
- Can access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Field test support includes travel, radar equipment setup and teardown, and light lifting (up to 30 or 40 lbs.).
- US citizenship only.
- Must possess (or be eligible to obtain and maintain) a Final Top Secret clearance.
