** Job Scope:
** Generally responsible for producing operations and mechanical maintenance procedures for various industrial systems and equipment. This work will be performed under general supervision.
** Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
*** Ability to review plant P&IDs, specifications and installation, operating and maintenance manuals and identify equipment and systems requiring maintenance.
* Providing operations and mechanical maintenance procedures in client’s format to accompany plant work packages.
* Ability to search various databases to identify and categorize documents for use by all teammates.
* Checking procedures to assure technical correctness.# Ideal Background

** High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree in Engineering Technology is highly preferred.
** Certification:
** Certification is not required for this position.

* Experience:
** This position requires 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in technical writing or design.
** Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*** Familiarity with gear reducers, pumps, couplings, motors, lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, etc.
* Ability to prioritize work and follow up on directed assignments.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as other software as needed.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

*** Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.#LI-ML1## What You’ll Be Doing### The Experienced Industrial Procedure Writer is responsible for developing, revising, and validating detailed operating, maintenance, startup, shutdown, emergency, troubleshooting, and equipment-specific procedures for industrial facilities. This position requires the ability to independently review complex technical information, work directly with subject matter experts and facility personnel, and convert technical requirements into clear, accurate, and field-usable procedures.
Work will generally be performed with limited supervision and must comply with client-specific templates, document-control requirements, applicable industry standards, and established procedure-writing practices.### ### Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop new and revised industrial procedures, including:
+ Normal operating procedures + System startup and shutdown procedures + Emergency operating and shutdown procedures + Mechanical and electrical maintenance procedures + Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures + Equipment replacement, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting procedures + System alignment and valve lineup procedures + Lockout/Tagout/Try and hazardous energy-control instructions + Commissioning and post-maintenance testing procedures
* Review and interpret technical documents, including:
+ Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams + Process Flow Diagrams + Electrical one-line diagrams + Mechanical and electrical drawings + Equipment data sheets + Engineering specifications + Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals + Cause-and-effect diagrams + Control narratives + Existing procedures and work packages
* Identify systems, equipment, components, valves, instruments, controls, hazards, prerequisites, precautions, limitations, and acceptance criteria required to perform the work safely and correctly.
* Conduct or participate in facility walkdowns, field verifications, document reviews, and interviews with operations, maintenance, engineering, commissioning, safety, and other subject matter experts.
* Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, sequential, and field-usable instructions.
* Write procedure steps using approved human-performance and procedure-writing practices, including single-action steps, clear component identification, appropriate warnings and cautions, and measurable verification criteria.
