Overview
Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
ResponsibilitiesPerform System Reliability & Maintainability (RAM&T) Engineering Analysis. The candidate will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and verifying subsystem RAM&T performance requirements for all design changes and new development efforts to ensure that RAM&T program requirements are achieved. The primary responsibility of the position will be reliability, maintainability, and testability. The selected candidate will liaise with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the RAM&T of the assigned subsystem and support the product teams in the investigation of RAM&T issues and develop mitigation plans.

- Due to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.
- An Active Final Secret Clearance is required
- Associate’s degree or higher with 3+ years of related experience.
- Experience in Reliability and Maintainability.
- Familiar with Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) assessments.
- Familiar with the development and verification of RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) requirements.
- Ability to perform RAM&T allocations and predictions.
- Ability to develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analysis.
- Ability to perform Built In Test (BIT) testability analysis.
- Ability to develop mission reliability analysis.
- Ability to support the development of teams in the investigation of issues.
- Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
- Experience with Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
- Experience with maintainability demonstrations.
- Experience with Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
