Model- Systems Engineer

Huntsville, AL (Hybrid) Full-Time Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required

Support digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, and system architecture efforts for defense technology programs. You'll help define system structures, interfaces, requirements, and traceability across software, simulation, cyber, and mission-focused engineering efforts.

• Develop and maintain system models, architecture artifacts, requirements relationships, and interface definitions
• Support model-based systems engineering workflows using SysML, Cameo/Magic Draw, or similar tools
• Translate stakeholder needs, operational concepts, and technical constraints into structured engineering artifacts
• Work with software, simulation, cyber, and hardware-focused engineers to maintain traceability across technical work products
• Support design reviews, technical documentation, trade studies, and customer-facing engineering discussions
• Help connect digital engineering artifacts to simulation, analysis, cybersecurity, or software development workflows

• Experience with systems engineering, MBSE, digital engineering, requirements analysis, or system architecture
• Familiarity with SysML, Cameo/Magic Draw, Rhapsody, Capella, or similar modeling tools
• Ability to organize complex technical information into clear models, diagrams, requirements, and interfaces
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering disciplines
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance

• Experience with defense systems, aerospace systems, weapon systems, autonomy, simulation, or cyber-physical systems
• Familiarity with digital twins, requirements traceability, verification planning, or architecture frameworks
• Experience connecting MBSE artifacts to simulation, software development, cybersecurity, or test workflows
• Familiarity with DoD digital engineering guidance, UAF, DoDAF, or MOSA concepts
