Electrical Engineer III, Automated Test Equipment, Interim Secret

Join us as an Electrical Engineer where you will design test equipment to test circuit boards.

Although this position supports some teleworking, the selected candidate must be located near the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Huntsville AL and be expected to work in the office as needed.

• Design automated test equipment (ATE), electronic hardware, signal conditioning equipment, and interface with COTS instrumentation for system production tests, system validation, and system‑level field test.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop Special Test Equipment that requires research and system development for a variety of electronic equipment, including avionics, control systems telemetry, electro‑optical and radiation detection equipment, radio and other communications equipment, and circuit components using analog and digital data acquisition and control systems, FPGA, real‑time systems, computers, and test equipment.

• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Active DoD Interim Secret or higher clearance and US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Understanding of engineering circuit fundamentals (analog & digital) and product configuration control processes.
• Experience designing ATE and electronic hardware, including signal conditioning equipment and COTS instrumentation interfaces.
• Experience reading schematic diagrams and technical documents.
• Experience with wire harness design, electronics assembly development and integration, and troubleshooting root causes.
• Perform hardware engineering best practices: requirements analysis, design, test and integration.
• Experience with cross‑functional development team coordination and external customer interaction.
• Ability to work autonomously and drive items to closure.
• Experience with CREO, Visio, Zuken, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Occasional travel.

This position requires a Secret security clearance. Applicants must be US citizens.
