Mid-Level Systems IV&V Engineer
Mid-Level Systems IV&V Engineer to evaluate end-to-end integration and performance of the THAAD weapon system. Independent, rigorous assessment of system-level requirements, hardware/software integration and interoperability within the broader Missile Defense System (MDS). Evaluate ground and flight test data, verify requirements traceability, and assess system operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent assessment of system-level requirements, design documentation, and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Maintain and verify requirements traceability from system-level down to component-level using tools like IBM DOORS.
- Evaluate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation data, ground test results, and flight test telemetry to validate system performance.
- Assess interoperability and integration across THAAD elements (Interceptor, Launcher, AN/TPY-2 Radar, TFCC) and external networks (e.g., C2
BMC, Link-16). - Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to review and validate system architectures and behavioral models.
- Provide technical recommendations and risk assessments to program leadership based on IV&V findings.
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience in systems engineering, weapon system integration, or test and evaluation (T&E).
- Must have an active current security clearance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience using requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS).
- Familiarity with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler) and SysML.
- Knowledge of missile defense architectures, sensor integration, and kill chain analysis.
- Ability to synthesize complex test data into actionable engineering insights and formal reports.
