Northrop Grumman Defense is hiring a Systems Engineer (Level2)/Principal Systems Engineer (Level3) in Huntsville, AL to support the Sentinel Program.
ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the systems engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and/or supporting the development of key interface artifacts, including:
- Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Interface Requirements & Verification Plans
- Interface Logical and Physical Architecture
- Interface NX CAD Models
- Interface Mentor Capital Wiring Diagrams
You will work in a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program objectives are met.
Basic Qualifications Systems Engineer (Level2)- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years of experience, or 0 years with a master’s degree.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher at the time of application.
- Ability to obtain a Top‑Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
- 1 year of experience working with Cameo or similar tools.
- 1 year of experience working with DOORS or similar tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of related experience, 3 years with a master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher at the time of application.
- Ability to obtain a Top‑Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
- 2 years of experience working with Cameo or similar tools.
- 2 years of experience working with DOORS or similar tools.
- 1+ years of experience with technical review boards.
- 1+ years of experience working with interfaces.
- 1+ years of experience leading/supporting trade studies or tiger teams.
- 1+ years of experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) or similar.
- 1+ years of experience working with NX or similar tools.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
SalaryPrimary Level Salary Range: $87,600 – $131,400
Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,800 – $163,200
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results.
