Missile Launcher Design Engineer – Huntsville, Alabama
Leidos Defense Mechanical Design & Analysis Department is seeking a Missile Launcher Design Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama to design the next generation of air defense launchers for the US Army’s Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC Inc
2) missile launcher.
Design work will involve using Creo CAD software and Windchill PLM software daily to turn concepts into detailed designs. You will collaborate with the production team to manufacture the hardware, assist with installation, and work with the testing team to validate performance.
Primary Responsibilities- Structural design via Creo CAD software, drawing generation in accordance with ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5, and producing technical data packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
- 4+ years of applicable experience in design and/or analysis of mechanical systems or 2+ years with an MS degree.
- Mission-focused and ready to contribute to a high-performing team.
- US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Candidates with experience leading engineering design teams will be preferred.
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $.
