SLS Guidance Engineer (ES2)
We work collaboratively with the NASA customer in an integrated environment to provide GN&C system design, analysis, and integration support for applications including satellites, lunar landers, and launch vehicles.
DutiesTypical responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Model, simulate, and analyze vehicle and spacecraft dynamics
- Develop and optimize workflows to improve efficiency
- Develop, modify, and maintain software simulators, tools, and scripts
- Create, edit, and debug software written in C++/Python/Matlab
- Support verification and validation of technical products
- Prepare and present technical reports and/or briefings
- Create and review engineering and software documentation
Bachelor of Science degree in science, technical, engineering, math or related degree program from an ABET accredited institution.
Must be able to provide own transportation.
The successful candidate must:
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to multi-task and transition between assignments
- Show initiative, be proactive and detail oriented
- Work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude
- Familiarity with typical software lifecycle documentation and compliance
Office and laboratory environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (
