We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Weapon Systems Engineer (Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering) to join our advanced systems engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the research, design, and development of conceptual weapon systems. As a senior member of the team, you will drive technical excellence in missile systems analysis, processor-in-the-loop (PIL) capabilities, and provide essential leadership and mentorship to our growing team of junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) Development:
    Lead the design, development, and integration of PIL simulation capabilities for conceptual weapon systems to validate hardware and software performance.
  • Systems Engineering & Analysis:
    Conduct comprehensive systems engineering, integration, and performance analysis for advanced missile systems throughout the conceptual design and development phases.
  • Technical Leadership:
    Serve as a technical subject matter expert, guiding complex engineering trades and architectural decisions.
  • Mentorship:
    Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical rigor, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including software, hardware, and test engineers to ensure system requirements are met and design integrity is maintained
  • Deep understanding of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) principles for weapon systems as well as knowledge of military Command and Control (C2) architectures and infrastructures.
  • Technical expertise in Radio Frequency (RF), Electro-Optical (EO), and Infrared (IR) sensors and seekers and integration of seeker technologies into weapon systems Guidance Electronics Units (GEUs).
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, C++, Python, Rust).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to stakeholders and leadership.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (required), Master’s degree (desired) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 12+ years of progressive engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or a related industry.
  • Proven track record in systems engineering, simulation, and analysis for weapon or missile systems.
  • Experience with Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), or Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineering staff.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Active clearance preferred).
