Aviation Systems IV&V Engineer
Torch Technologies seeks an Aviation Systems IV&V Engineer to support the integration, verification, validation, and airworthiness assessment of diagnostics, prognostics, and health monitoring systems for U.S. Army aviation platforms.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute system verification and validation activities.
- Create test plans, procedures, and reports supporting system qualification.
- Evaluate requirements, interfaces, and system architectures for completeness and traceability.
- Support software, hardware, and system integration efforts.
- Perform requirements‑based testing and analysis.
- Conduct defect investigations and root‑cause analysis.
- Support technical reviews, flight test events, and customer demonstrations.
- Analyze test data and verify system performance against requirements.
- Support airworthiness and safety activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and aviation subject‑matter experts.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of systems engineering, test, or IV&V experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Experience developing and executing verification and validation procedures.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and requirements traceability.
- Experience with system integration and test activities.
- Familiarity with software and hardware development life cycles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting aviation, aerospace, or DoW programs.
- Ability to work on customer site at Redstone Arsenal.
- Experience supporting Army aviation platforms.
- Familiarity with HUMS, condition‑based maintenance, or prognostics systems.
- Knowledge of airworthiness and safety processes.
- Experience supporting SIL, HIL, ground, and flight test activities.
- Familiarity with DOORS, Cameo, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of CMMI, ISO 9001, and quality processes.
- Experience with MIL‑STD‑810, DO‑160, or aviation qualification testing.
- Understanding of avionics interfaces, data buses, and embedded systems.
- Experience supporting FQT, TRR, FRR, and system qualification events.
- INCOSE ASEP/CSEP, DAWIA, or other relevant certifications.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
