Wireless Engineer (DoD TS Clearance)
We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Engineer to support the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise wireless infrastructure projects within a government environment. This role is responsible for design, validation, and optimization of advanced wireless requirements across various project portfolios. This role focuses on high‑level consulting, strategic technical advising, and stakeholder support across diverse wireless technologies and critical infrastructure environments.
Essential Functions
- Advise on the design and architecture of wireless enclaves and communication systems including cellular, 5G, Wi‑Fi, UHF/HF/VHF, Bluetooth, DAS, WIDS/WIPS, and satellite systems.
- Provide expert recommendations for wireless network design, wireless planning, spectrum management, and system integration.
- Lead and interpret wireless surveys and heatmap generation (e.g., iBwave) and design improvements.
- Consult on spectrum interference analysis and resolution methods.
- Support executive briefings, technical demonstrations, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide system deployments, technology decisions, and architectural strategies.
- Offer high‑level troubleshooting guidance for complex issues within critical infrastructure environments.
- Assist with wireless network architecture design, feasibility studies, and cost analysis.
Required:
- Top Secret Clearance with the ability to achieve SCI
- Strong experience with designs and validations of wireless systems to include cellular, 5G, Wi-Fi, UHF, HF, VHF, Bluetooth, distributed antenna systems (DAS), wireless intrusion detection systems (WIDS), wireless intrusion prevention systems (WIPS), and satellite communications.
- Ability to function independently and in a collaborative team environment to conduct RF project planning activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Wireless Engineering, or related field.
- Five (5) years of experience supporting government wireless enclaves.
- Experience supporting the integration and deployment of Starlink satellite communication systems.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and supporting cross-team collaboration in developing a solution.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex wireless networks in critical environments.

- Inside office environment.
- Working on a computer for long periods of time.
- May involve long period of sitting at a desk.
- The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.
