Thermal Spray Operation Leadership Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to lead a highly specialized thermal spray operation supporting advanced manufacturing in the aerospace and defense industries. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with Thermal Spray processes, including HVOF, Plasma Spray, Twin-Wire Arc, Flame Spray, and/or Cold Spray, along with proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Lead a team of Thermal Spray Technicians, Operators, and Lead Hands
- Drive operational excellence, process development, and continuous improvement within a growing thermal spray operation
- Support aerospace and defense customers while ensuring compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, and AMS standards
This Role Is for You If You...
- Have 7+ years of experience in Thermal Spray operations with at least 3 years leading teams.
- Have hands-on expertise with multiple thermal spray coating processes (HVOF, Plasma Spray, Arc Spray, Flame Spray, and/or Cold Spray).
- Enjoy improving manufacturing processes while developing and mentoring technical teams.
- Have experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Thrive in a role where you can combine technical expertise with operational leadership.
What You'll Do
- Lead all day-to-day Thermal Spray production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Serve as the technical expert for coating development, process qualification, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and optimize coating processes while improving throughput, quality, and equipment performance.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives using DOE, SPC, root cause analysis, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions and customer programs.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards including NADCAP, AS9100, and AMS specifications while supporting customer audits and technical reviews.
- Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing Thermal Spray team.
