We are currently seeking an Integration and Test Engineer to join our Avionics Design and Test engineering team in our NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, AL offices.

Responsibilities
  • Decompose requirements into actionable test plans and procedures
  • Execute test procedures using custom and off-the-shelf test equipment
  • Perform post test data analyses
  • Participate in the development of test and analytical tools
  • Troubleshoot, identify root-cause, the implement corrective actions for anomalies identified during testing
  • Support test activities across multiple test beds and facilities
  • Develop planning for integration of test bed and article under test
  • Understand specifications, schematics, and drawings
  • Provide on-console support during vehicle level checkouts and launch
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all system components work together effectively
  • Generate and incorporate test automation and process improvement tools
Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept
  • Support design efforts and tests as well as provide engineering support for avionics flight hardware and systems including:
  • Assemble avionics hardware into test bed
  • Create and execute test plans and associated procedures
  • Analyze MIL-STD
    1553 and RS-422 telemetered data
  • Launch console support
  • Support other element Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in integration and optimization of engineering products and processes
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with 2 years of engineering design, analysis, and test of aerospace electrical systems – OR – Master’s degree.
  • Experience with the design, analysis, and test of flight electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment as part of a multi-discipline team
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, data recorded, and more.
  • Working knowledge of analog, digital, and instrumentation systems
  • Proficiency with generation and execution of electronic manufacturing planning.

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
