What You Will Do:
As a Production Test Engineer(PTE) II you’re part of a manufacturing team that supportsthetest process through one or more phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production and depot activities.
As a PTE II you’ll validateandensurecomplianceof the prime hardware to technical data package requirement sand supporting test equipment.
You’ll also troubleshoot and problem solve around test failures, and you’llidentifyopportunities to improve efficiency, yields, and capacity in test processes.
Additional responsibilities may include:(use
- Troubleshooting and providing accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
- Assisting with creating and maintaining spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
- Working on projects to reduce test time and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure mode, and test yields.
- Contributing to test capacity analyses and test flows.
- Maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals and system software.
- Assisting in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
- Assisting with root cause and corrective action investigations and presenting findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
- Assisting with risk assessments and supporting the program’s risk register reviews.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing production environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
- Experience with hands-on hardware integration and troubleshooting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and assist in developing sustaining solutions to routine technical problems
- Experience interpreting technical documentation
- Experience working on projects
- Experience with data analysis
- Experience with technical writing
