Job Description & How to Apply Below
MSRC is seeking a full-time RF Engineer to support technical efforts for our missile guidance integration and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) test team. In this role, you will work closely with our HWIL engineers to prototype, design, develop, and integrate high-fidelity testing of advanced RF missile seekers and radar systems. This role bridges the gap between simulation and real-world performance, ensuring our warfighters have the most advanced, reliable technology.
Job Description:
- Work with our senior engineering team to design, build, and maintain real-time, closed-loop HWIL simulation capabilities, including radar scene generation, signal injection, and data acquisition systems.
- Perform hands-on testing of RF seekers, transmitters, receivers, and antennas within compact ranges and HWIL labs.
- Analyze complex RF systems, pre-test predictions, and post-test data to identify performance anomalies and root causes of failures.
- Develop and document test plans, procedures, and reports for acceptance testing of missile hardware.
- Collaborate with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) engineers, algorithm developers, and software teams to integrate hardware and software components.
- Support HWIL missile guidance tests for various Army weapon systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in RF engineering, specifically HWIL or antenna range testing.
- Familiarity with RF antenna theory, radar signal processing, and high-frequency hardware.
- Hands-on experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs), Signal Generators, and Power Meters.
- Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
- Experience with radar systems (seeker or fire control).
- Knowledge of modeling & simulation environments (e.g., SIMULINK).
- Experience with indoor compact ranges or anechoic chambers.
- Detail-oriented self-starter with strong work ethic required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Active Secret DoD Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
