Kohler is seeking a Staff Engineer, Maintenance and Reliability to drive asset performance across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead reliability engineering programs, analyze equipment failures, and develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize uptime, safety, and quality. You will partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement root cause analysis, optimize spare parts, and standardize best practices.
You'll mentor technicians and engineers while supporting capital projects, continuous improvement, and sustainability initiatives in a culture of craftsmanship and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead reliability and maintenance strategy for manufacturing assets to improve uptime and performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and FMEA on equipment failures and chronic issues.
- Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs and standards.
- Leverage CMMS data to plan, schedule, and improve maintenance effectiveness.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams on equipment improvements and capital projects.
- Implement condition monitoring and diagnostics to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Analyze maintenance KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and junior engineers.
- Support sustainability, safety, and quality goals through robust reliability practices.
