Kohler is seeking a Project Engineer to drive manufacturing initiatives across our global operations. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects to improve production processes, quality, and efficiency for kitchen, bath, and power products. You will design and implement tooling and fixtures, apply lean and Six Sigma methods, and support new product introductions from concept through launch. Partner with operations, quality, and design teams to solve technical problems, reduce waste, and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering projects from scoping through implementation to improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Design and optimize production processes, workflows, and line layouts for new and existing products.
  • Develop and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment specifications in partnership with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Apply lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, variation, and downtime.
  • Support new product introductions by translating designs into robust, scalable manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, design, and maintenance to resolve technical issues and drive root-cause corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.
  • Support safety initiatives by integrating ergonomic and safety standards into process and equipment designs.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, sustainability, and cross-functional collaboration.
