- Develops and plans the work required to maintain, operate and improve the buildings, structures, streets, roads, railroads, signage, traffic signals, and improved and unimproved grounds on Redstone Arsenal.
- Plans, designs and manages maintenance of roadways and traffic operations.
- Applies highest level of engineering skills and knowledge to provide for maintenance, repair, analysis and improvement of buildings, structures and related appurtenances.
- Performs studies to find solutions to problems such as developing alternatives to improve efficiency and economy related to the operation, modification, maintenance, repair, and expansion of industrial, potable water, and wastewater facilities.
- Serves as Contracting Officers Representative (COR) or Alternate COR (ACOR) and has technical authority and responsible for overseeing associated resource management program and issues.
- Provides engineering review of as-built drawings, manuals, and other descriptions and/or data for newly completed facilities for accuracy and validity.

Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- TDY travel is occasionally required.
- Must be able to complete and maintain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification/training IAW DoDI 5000.72.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
