* ** Primary Responsibilities*
* + Apply analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other engineering tools to develop models, perform structural and dynamic analyses, conduct calculations, reduce test data, and correlate results.

+ Partner closely with design and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance structures that meet demanding requirements for performance, manufacturability, and schedule.

** Basic Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.

+ Possess 4-8 years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor's degree, or 2-6 years with a master's degree.

+ Demonstrated experience with any of the commercial finite element analysis tools (e.g. FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).

+ Strong technical writing, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

+ Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

+ Capable of working as part of a larger analysis team or working as the sole analyst on a project.

+ U.S. citizenship and a current Final Secret Clearance-or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.

+ Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, the Huntsville, Alabama area.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with a 3.5 or higher GPA.

+ Advanced expertise in

+ Linear and nonlinear contact FEA

+ Application of nonlinear material properties to both FEA and hand calculations

+ Integrated multi-physics analysis

+ Bolted joint and weld analysis

+ Dynamics analysis (modal, response spectrum, shock, vibration)

+ Bolted joint and weld analysis

+ Fatigue analysis

+ Composite materials analysis

+ Thermal analysis
