Senior Industrial Engineer

GXO Logistics, a global leader in contract logistics, is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to drive performance across transportation and warehousing operations. In this role, you will analyze workflows, design layouts and develop engineered labor standards that enhance safety, quality and productivity. You will lead Lean and continuous improvement projects, support deployment of robotics and automation, and use data analytics to optimize processes and KPIs.

Collaborating with cross functional teams, you will support new site launches and standardize best practices while influencing strategic decisions for blue chip customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement and optimization projects across warehouse and transportation operations
• Analyze workflows, labor standards and capacity using industrial engineering tools and data analytics
• Design and implement layout changes, material flow and process standards to improve safety, quality and throughput
• Develop engineered labor standards, time studies and performance metrics; track KPIs and recommend actions
• Collaborate with operations, IT and automation teams to deploy robotics and advanced technologies
• Support new site launches, transitions and customer implementations with process design and documentation
• Coach operations teams on Lean, Six Sigma and problem-solving methodologies
• Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic standards while driving productivity gains
• Prepare business cases, ROI models and presentations for leadership and customers
• Partner with global teams to share best practices and standardize processes across sites
