Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL.

Position Responsibilities:

Experienced Level 3
* Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation

* Provides Quality interpretation of requirements

* Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements

* Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs

* Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

* Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness

* Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances

* Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved

* Apply advanced Supplier Quality prevention tools including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Lean and Six Sigma

* Lead cross-functional Requirements Reviews and Capability Assessments at BDS suppliers

* Assist with the evaluation of new technology and manufacturing process deployment readiness form special capability approvals to ensure technical readiness, capability and supplier process controls are established

* Works under general direction Senior Level 4
* Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.

* Provides interpretation of complex requirements.

* Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

* Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.

* Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

* Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

* Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

* Develops and implements corrective actions.

* Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

* Works under minimal direction. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

* 3+ years RCCA experience

* 3+ years of experience in the defense or aerospace industry

* 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams

* Experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

* Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certifications

* 3+ years of experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment
