Torch Technologies is seeking a talented Missile Defense Radar Analyst /Engineer to join a well-established and growing team in the Sensors Test, Analysis, Requirements and Simulations (STARS) Lab that supports the development, test, and fielding of missile defense radar systems. The selected candidate will work with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense radars such as AN/TPY-2, AN/TPY-6, LRDR, SBX, UEWR, and CD.
Job DutiesCommon tasks for this position include scenario design and development, analysis tool development/improvement, and application of new or existing tools to perform complex analysis on radar system and/or algorithm performance. The selected candidate will further develop their understanding of critical radar functions including acquisition, scheduling, tracking, discrimination, advanced functions, and system-level interactions. The selected candidate may support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S) verification & validation (V&V), post-flight reconstructions, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
The selected candidate will work in a highly dynamic environment that promotes team interaction, collaboration, and problem solving.
- US Citizenship.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
- Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering,
- Proficient in modeling and data analysis using Matlab, Python, and/or similar tools.
- Ability to work effectively in team environments and independently.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).,
- Must have an active secret clearance.
- Candidates with the following experience are preferred:
Experience with AN/TPY-2, AN/TPY-6, LRDR, SBX, UEWR, and/or CD radar systems (and/or associated digital representations). - Experience with radar analysis, radar systems engineering, and/or radar operations.
- Experience with radar signal/detection injection HWIL systems (OSI, DIGISIM, OSM).
- Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using Matlab.
- Experience with other aspects of the Missile Defense System (MDS) and the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) including threat/targets, C2
BMC, GFC, and simulation frameworks such as OSF.
