Torch Technologies is seeking a Guam Defense System (GDS) Integration Lead to join a team at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, supporting Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires (formerly Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office).
As a Guam Defense System (GDS) Integration Lead your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Systems engineering and integration support across GDS development, integration, testing, experimentation, and operational activities.
- The position coordinates technical activities across systems, organizations, and mission partners to ensure requirements, interfaces, architecture, resources, and integration dependencies remain aligned.
- The Integration Lead translates integration requirements into executable activities, works across engineering and operational organizations to resolve technical issues, and executes integration activities against the approved schedule.
- The position provides IFD/GDS leadership with integrated technical assessments, risks, issues, and recommendations to support execution and decision-making.
- The GDS Integration Lead coordinates system and subsystem integration activities across the GDS architecture, ensuring integration efforts align with established requirements, architecture, interfaces, and mission needs.
- The position identifies and resolves system interface, interoperability, and technical dependency issues and executes integration activities against the approved schedule, ensuring technical prerequisites, resources, and dependencies are addressed to meet planned milestones.
- The Integration Lead coordinates engineering activities across program offices, laboratories, test organizations, mission partners, and operational stakeholders.
- The position supports integration, verification, validation, and test activities and assesses system performance against requirements.
- The role also tracks system configurations and changes that may affect integration, testing, interfaces, or operational readiness.
- The Integration Lead identifies technical and integration risks, coordinates mitigation efforts, and drives resolution across supporting organizations.
- The position assesses technical integration and system readiness, identifies gaps, supports corrective actions, and coordinates activities required for fielding and transition to operational use.
- The position develops integration status, technical assessments, risk reports, briefings, and decision-support products to provide IFD/GDS leadership with clear information on integration progress, risks, issues, readiness, and areas requiring attention.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to support Department of Defense programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline AND 10+ years of related experience OR
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline AND 8+ years of related experience
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience leading a team and/or project across multiple functions, stakeholders, and services in a fast-paced, highly-visible environment.
- Experience with systems engineering, systems integration, or integration of complex technical systems.
- Experience coordinating technical activities across multiple organizations and engineering disciplines.
- Experience with system interfaces, requirements, architecture, integration planning, or interoperability.
- Ability to execute complex integration activities against established schedules and milestones.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, dependencies, and integration risks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to leadership.
- Active DoD Secret or TS/TS-SCI security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance.
- Experience with missile defense, fires, integrated air and missile defense, or other complex defense systems.
- Experience with system-of-systems engineering and integration.
- Experience with developmental or operational testing,
