Junior Radar Modeling Engineer

Leidos seeks a Junior Radar Modeling Engineer to support radar and sensor system development for DoD customers. In this role, you will design, implement, and validate radar models and simulations, analyze signal processing performance, and help assess system effectiveness in complex operational environments. You will work with senior engineers to translate mission needs into technical requirements, document results, and present findings to stakeholders.

This position offers hands-on experience with advanced tools, exposure to classified programs, and growth opportunities within a mission-driven, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine radar and sensor system models and simulations
• Implement and test radar signal processing algorithms
• Analyze radar performance data and generate technical reports
• Support system requirements definition and trade studies
• Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams on Do
• D projects
• Verify and validate models against test data and mission scenarios
• Document designs, assumptions, and test results for stakeholders
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, and technical reviews
