Leidos is seeking a Principal RF Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of advanced RF and wireless systems for mission-critical government and commercial programs. In this role, you will architect RF front ends, develop link budgets, specify antennas and waveforms, and guide system-level integration for radar, communications, and electronic warfare solutions. You will mentor junior engineers, perform simulations and modeling, drive requirements and trade studies, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, compliant RF solutions that meet stringent performance, security, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of RF and wireless systems for radar, communications, and EW applications
- Develop RF architectures, link budgets, and system requirements
- Perform RF modeling, simulation, and analysis to optimize performance
- Guide antenna selection, waveform design, and RF front-end implementation
- Oversee integration, test, and troubleshooting of RF subsystems and systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and performance standards
- Collaborate with systems, digital, and software teams on end-to-end solutions
- Prepare technical documentation, design reviews, and customer presentations
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior RF engineers
- Support proposals, estimates, and technology roadmaps for RF solutions
Required Skills

- Electromagnetic simulation (HFSS, CST, ADS, or similar)
