Radar Modeling Engineer

Leidos seeks a Radar Modeling Engineer to develop, analyze, and optimize radar system models supporting national security and defense programs. In this role you will design high-fidelity RF and sensor simulations, implement algorithms for detection, tracking, and signal processing, and validate performance using real-world and synthetic data. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers and analysts, document results, present technical findings to stakeholders, and help transition models into operational software tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-fidelity radar and RF system models and simulations
• Develop and integrate algorithms for radar detection, tracking, and signal processing
• Analyze model outputs and system performance using real and synthetic data sets
• Validate and verify models against requirements, test data, and operational scenarios
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and analysis teams on system design trades
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results in clear technical reports
• Present technical findings and recommendations to internal and customer stakeholders
• Support transition of models into production-quality software tools and workflows
