Lead Electrical Engineer

Leidos is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and integrate complex electrical systems supporting mission-critical IT and engineering programs. In this role, you will lead requirements analysis, architecture definition, circuit design, power distribution, and system-level integration for government and commercial clients. You will oversee design reviews, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and guide PCB and cabling layouts.

The position includes mentoring engineers, collaborating with cross-functional software and systems teams, and driving innovation in secure, reliable, and scalable electrical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex electrical systems for IT and engineering programs
• Define requirements, architecture, and detailed circuit and power distribution designs
• Oversee PCB layout, cabling, and system-level electrical integration
• Conduct technical reviews and ensure compliance with industry codes and standards
• Collaborate with software, systems, and mechanical teams on integrated solutions
• Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers and technical staff
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems
• Prepare documentation, design reports, and configuration-controlled drawings
