Radiance Technologies is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) systems engineer for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Technical Center, Research and Technology Directorate, Multi-Domain Technologies Branch (MDT ) office in Huntsville, AL. The RF systems engineer will support efforts to design and develop Army science and technology (S&T) and research and development (R&D) programs that deliver RF capabilities to the Warfighter in the field.
Responsibilities- Provide high‑power RF subject matter expertise including power electronics, pulsed power drivers, power modulators, frequency and bandwidth agile RF sources and antennas, electronic system coupling, interaction and effects, and in‑band and out‑of‑band coupling and interaction mechanisms.
- Perform analysis and M&S to establish and verify system concepts using high‑power RF.
- Establish HWIL simulations as necessary to validate equipment functionality and system concepts.
- Derive and maintain system technical requirements.
- Participate in and provide technical guidance during the system design activities.
- Provide oversight and/or perform complex integration activities as necessary.
- Assist with the development and execution of system tests and demonstrations.
- Exercise independent and professional judgment under moderate supervision in solving cost and scheduling problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
- Proficient with distributed aperture radar systems.
- Proficient with radar testing equipment.
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting RF‑related projects.
- Highly proficient with high‑power RF theory, system engineering, and system development.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
- U.S. citizenship with an active Top‑Secret/SCI clearance.
