Overview
The Effector Guidance Electronics Department is seeking talented engineers to develop complex Radio Frequency (RF) systems, subsystems, and components, including antennas, RF circuit cards, and RF test equipment. This entry‑level Mechanical Engineer position requires a strong foundation in technical mechanical standards and engineering processes.
What You Will Do- Collaborate in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems
- Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs
- Develop prototype hardware designs and coordinate fabrication
- Perform hands‑on integration and test support for prototype hardware
- Hold design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience performing design and/or analysis throughout the product life cycle, including use of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
- Experience with creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Master of Science (MS) in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- Experience performing design and/or analysis for the packaging of RF products (e.g., Circuit Card Assemblies, antennas, radomes, RF test equipment, harnesses and interconnects)
- Experience with 3D CAD design (preferably Creo Parametric)
- Experience in antenna and/or electronics packaging
- Experience with harness and interconnect design
- Experience creating engineering drawings
- Experience fabricating prototype designs
- Familiarity with the application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience working collaboratively in a multi-discipline team
- Experience performing tolerance analysis
- Self‑motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from many communities and cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent different types of work and conflict resolution styles
Salary range: 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.
Relocation assistance is available for the Huntsville, AL location.
