VP​/Director of Finance

Description

We are looking for an experienced interim VP/Director of Finance to join our client's team on a contract basis in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will lead financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive strategic financial planning. This position requires a strong command of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the development and implementation of annual budgets to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Analyze and refine budget processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

- Prepare detailed financial reports to support decision-making and present insights to leadership.

- Conduct cash flow forecasting to maintain financial stability and support growth initiatives.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with broader business goals.

- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies in all financial operations.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering careful development and growth.

- Support strategic initiatives through detailed financial analysis and recommendations.

Requirements - Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, such as VP or Director of Finance.

- Expertise in annual budgeting processes and financial forecasting.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting standards.

- Ability to analyze cash flow and provide actionable insights for improvement.

- Proficiency in refining and optimizing budget processes.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
