9/80 – Employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, and have every other Friday off.

Responsibilities
  • In the Missile Solutions Segment, serve as a Sr. Specialist in Program Finance at the Huntsville, AL HQ location.
  • Apply Earned Value Management System (EVMS) to keep projects/programs on track with accurate and complete information for customers.
  • Collaborate with key functional stakeholders including Program Management and Engineering; communicate and influence changes to practices and processes.
  • Develop time-phased budgets, EV data compliance and reporting, cost accounting and cost/schedule integration under general oversight.
  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of financial performance to identify risks, issues, and potential performance improvements; deliver early warnings and solutions.
  • Manage budgeting, cost control, variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management, and financial support.
  • Develop quarterly EACs; analyze ETC, EAC, and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data for accurate projections.
  • Educate and lead financial analysts in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), charge-number creation and maintenance.
  • Analyze costs and personnel to ensure actuals align with budgets and end objectives.
  • Analyze workforce planning, forecasting, and reporting; perform data extraction and reconciliation as needed.
  • Generate program financial artifacts (EV reports, graphs, analyses) and provide customer reporting; present program financial status to customers.
  • Educate PMO and CAMS with internal reports on cost and schedule performance.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
  • Travel up to 5% as required; ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant finance experience;
    Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of finance experience.
  • 4+ years of experience using Excel as a daily tool.
  • 2+ years of experience with financial analysis, forecasting and reporting including variance explanations.
  • 2+ years of experience with budgeting and earned value reporting.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Knowledge of cost/schedule development, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, financial modeling, forecasting, and/or business acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with Contract Compliance and Negotiation; experience with customer/management reporting.
  • Ability to mentor less experienced team members; work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Accurate financial calculations for cost/budget analysis; strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills;
    Access is a plus.
  • Proficiency with importing/exporting data; understanding of general accounting principles and earned value management, including cost data forecasting.
