Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Warren Averett is assisting a client in the Huntsville area in their search for an Accountant to join their growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with business leaders, support financial reporting and analysis, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, analytical mindset, and advanced Excel skills.

• Maintain, update, and distribute weekly and monthly financial reports and interactive dashboards.
• Perform quantitative analysis of weekly financial and operational reports, summarize findings, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and inventory management processes.
• Support the development of the annual business plan, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
• Design and build reporting tools, financial models, and analytical solutions using Microsoft Excel and data mining tools.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business decisions across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy and drive process efficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years of accounting, finance, or related experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with business analytics, reporting tools, and data mining is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
