Overview
i3 seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Management Engineer to join our dynamic Launched Effects team within CPE Aviation (formerly known as PEO Aviation). We are responsible for developing, acquiring, and sustaining the critical systems that provide our Soldiers with a decisive edge on the battlefield. This is a critical role responsible for leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and automated tools to enhance our data management and visualization practices, improve decision-making, and ensure the delivery of superior capabilities to the Warfighter.

ResponsibilitiesAs a Data Management Engineer, you will be a key player in our program management office. Your responsibilities will include:
- AI-Powered Data Strategy
- Provide technical expertise to support the development and execution of a modern data management strategy.
- Advise the government team on leveraging AI and automated tools to enhance data quality, integration, and accessibility across the program portfolio.
- Data Governance and Compliance
- Assist the government in establishing and maintaining robust data governance frameworks.
- Provide analysis and recommendations on using AI-powered tools to automate data classification, access controls, and compliance monitoring in line with DoD and Army policies.
- Predictive Analytics and Insights
- Analyze program data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support the government team s use of AI and machine learning models to generate predictive insights that inform decisions related to cost, schedule, and system performance.
- Process Automation
- Evaluate existing data management workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
- Provide recommendations for tools and techniques to streamline repetitive tasks, such as data validation and report generation, to increase the program office s overall efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as a technical liaison between the government program office and various stakeholders, including engineering teams, industry partners, and other government agencies, to ensure alignment on data management and AI initiatives
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Five (5) years or more experience in data management, data analytics, AI or a related technical field is required.
- A DoD secret security clearance and ability to maintain a clearance is required.
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI and machine learning concepts to solve complex data challenges.
- Technical Proficiency
- Demonstrated expertise with modern data management platforms, analytics tools, and AI/ML concepts. - Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide clear, actionable recommendations to a non-technical audience.
- An advanced degree (Master s or Ph.D.) in a relevant field is a plus.
- Familiarity with the DoD and Army acquisition process is a significant advantage.
- Experience with aviation system development and engineering.
- Familiarity with CPE Aviation or a similar Project Office Environment.
- Excellent communication, outstanding initiative, aggressive problem-solving and task management skills as well as excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
- Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.
