COLSA Corporation is hiring an Autonomous Systems Data Scientist to join our Uncrewed Systems division to design and deliver data-driven solutions through the application of interdisciplinary methods spanning machine learning, advanced statistics, data engineering, and research techniques.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs analysis of data systems, such as Big Data systems
- Supports the development of automated reporting and data products, including TAK Automated After Action Reporting leveraging Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures and large language models such asLLaMA, LLaVA, and Llama Index.
- Evaluates and optimizes algorithms to improve performance, scalability, and integration within operational environments.
- May perform statistical analysis and provide input for reports and dashboards
- Involved with the development of data products, reports, and dashboards or other display techniques
- May apply advanced statistics, including natural language processing and machine learning to create solutions.
- Contributes to the creation of reports, dashboards, and visualization tools; performs statistical analysis; supports data modeling and virtualization efforts
- May assist in data modeling and data virtualization
- May write code to preprocess and clean data

Required Experience- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Experience with program languages; JAVA, C++, python, Git, Linux, Docker
- Knowledge of AI frameworks such as T ensor
Flow and Py Torch - Experience with Git, Agile, CNNs, PyTorch, Python, Data Analysis, Machine Learning
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance within 6 months of hire; US Citizenship required
- Previous experience on real time projects including vehicles or drones using large software systems
