Linux Systems Administrator – Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), Digital Modernization
Leidos‑Dynetics seeks a motivated Linux Systems Administrator to join our Corporate Information Security Office. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of diverse information systems, conducting vulnerability scans, implementing STIGs, and maintaining regulatory compliance across Linux, networking, and Windows environments.
LocationHuntsville, AL – All work will be performed on‑site.
ClearanceCurrent Top Secret clearance required.

Key Responsibilities- Perform system design and new hardware/software implementation.
- Maintain Linux, network devices, and Windows endpoints.
- Ensure information systems comply with DOD standards and keep them aligned with the Information Assurance team.
- Manage privileged access and secure handling of classified materials.
- Maintain baseline configuration of various information systems.
- Lead multiple projects within the area of responsibility.
- Adopt new technologies and ensure staff training for compliance.
- Maintain a robust virtual and physical environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent eight (8) years of System Administration experience.
- Minimum four (4+) years administering Linux operating systems.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- DoD Directive 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
- Ability to manage multiple networks in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework for Windows, Linux, and network devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience maintaining networks in classified environments.
- Understanding of network concepts, Type 1 encryption devices (e.g., TACLANE), and cybersecurity tools.
- Knowledge of VOIP.
- Experience with Ansible.
- RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator).
