Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Project Management - Release Manager (26-187) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2

BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals.

BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2

BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. The Release Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment of software releases, patches, and hotfixes for the C2

BMC Regional Apps Software Team. This position supports a large, globally deployed software system used by the Department of Defense, with different COCOMs deploying different versions of the software baseline. The Release Manager will coordinate with developers, product owners, and engineering managers to ensure that all software releases are properly planned, executed, and documented.

Essential Functions:

* Ensure that all software releases, patches, and hotfixes are properly planned, executed, and documented, with accurate tracking of changes and updates across the various software branches

* Coordinate with developers, product owners, and engineering managers to ensure that all software releases are completed and artifacts are recorded on time

* Manage multiple processes and documents, serving as the primary point of contact between the Regional Apps Agile Release Train (ART) and other ARTs within the program regarding current and future releases of Regional Apps software

* Collaborate with key program stakeholders, including Configuration Management (CM), Release Management, and Quality Assurance, to ensure the successful release of software artifacts and the creation of deployment media

* Develop, maintain, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for the Regional Apps Enterprise

* Prioritize and manage emergency software changes, ensuring timely resolution of operational deficiencies or anomalies that affect customer satisfaction
