Database Administrator III - Kwajalein Atoll

Location:

Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands (unaccompanied position with free housing, three meals a day, and potential U.S. overseas tax incentives).

• Install, maintain, monitor, and support multiple database servers on physical and virtual platforms in support of RTS initiatives.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, proactively identifying potential problems.
• Maintain a secure computing environment, including backup schedules, patching, weekly ACAS scans, and application of STIGs.
• Operate effectively on remote systems located in the Marshall Islands.
• Adhere to a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Build and sustain working relationships within the department and across RGNext business units.
• Perform additional duties as required.

• Hands‑on experience implementing databases and SQL servers with documented records.
• Proficient with SQL Server and Windows operating systems, including T‑SQL.
• Experience designing and coding databases with T‑SQL.
• Capability to create scripts for database and server management tasks per STIG requirements.
• Basic VMware vSphere experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in Information Technology.
• Must hold or be able to obtain Security+, CySA+, GICSP, or a similar certification meeting DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01 baseline certification for IAT Level II before the start date.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a CE (Computer Environment), Linux+, Server+, or similar certification meeting DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01 baseline certification for IAT Level II within three months of the start date.
• Apply extensive knowledge of cyber security concepts, practices, and procedures to secure integration and operation of enclave systems.

• Must obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
• Must obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
• Position is unaccompanied.
• Will need flexibility to work occasional non‑duty hours or weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
