Location:
Huntsville, AL.
- Interact with the customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness.
- Support compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls.
- Consult and assist program management with SSE architecture and issues.
- Support the development of bids and proposals.
- Support security development and test efforts implementing security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components.
- Integrate cybersecurity development activities.
- Use DoD approved cybersecurity management tools such as eMASS.
- Perform Task Lead duties (e.g., task planning, product owner, scrum master).
- Help ensure Cyber policies are enforced and supported leadership reviews.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II compliant certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent).
- Experience in Cybersecurity Engineering.
- Usage of information security toolsets including anti-virus, vulnerability assessment, HIDS/NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and security incident and event management (SIEM); familiarity with Splunk preferred.
- Linux Bash scripting or Python scripting experience.
- Experience with NIST RMF.
- DoDI 8570.01-M IAM Level-III compliant certification (e.g., CISSP or equivalent).
- Security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software operating system and application solutions in both stand-alone and LAN/WAN configurations.
- Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and CISCO systems.
- Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of various operating systems as defined by intelligence agencies.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering requirements, specifications, and experience implementing DoD and Federal IA certification and accreditation processes, IA controls, and developing and maintaining associated certification and accreditation documentation.
- Independent self-starter able to work reliably without supervision.
- Experience in the management of computer system security actions and in the development of the procedures that support such actions.
- Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g., Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.
- Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing rack servers, radio communications systems, cables and connectors (including fiber), and familiarity with radio encryption devices.
- Familiarity with U.S. Army and/or Air Force organizational structure.
- Prior experience delivering briefings to customers with varying technical backgrounds.
- Prior experience being collocated at a customer’s facility.
- Prior experience working as part of a dispersed team.
- Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
