Bel Research has an immediate opening for a System Administrator in Huntsville, AL.

Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks.

The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline

• A final secret clearance is required
• Must have a DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience with Systems Administration for Windows or Linux Operating Systems such as Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

• Experience with various windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, Power Shell, etc.
• Experience with Dev Ops architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, Git Lab, etc.
• Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)
• Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
• Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
