Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system integration, performance, and deployment.
- Implement and maintain system configurations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for supported systems, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems integration processes and tools.
- Perform system installation, configuration, and support of fielded systems including advanced troubleshooting focused on Linux-based environments and containerized applications.
- BS degree in computer science or related technical degree plus 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or MS degree in computer science or related technical degree plus 1-2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non‑technical team members.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, possess an active secret clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
- On‑site work (no remote/hybrid options) with ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell for automation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ Certification.
- Must reside in the Huntsville, AL or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
- 3+ years of experience in Linux systems administration.
- Experience working with UAS systems.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as QEMU‑KVM, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with advanced network configuration and management, including managed switches and firewalls.
- IAT Level II or Linux OS based certification.
