UAS Systems Integration Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system integration, performance, and deployment.
• Implement and maintain system configurations, ensuring optimal performance, security, and stability.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for supported systems, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems integration processes and tools.
• Perform system installation, configuration, and support of fielded systems including advanced troubleshooting focused on Linux-based environments and containerized applications.

• BS degree in computer science or related technical degree plus 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or MS degree in computer science or related technical degree plus 1-2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non‑technical team members.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, possess an active secret clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
• On‑site work (no remote/hybrid options) with ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell for automation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ Certification.
• Must reside in the Huntsville, AL or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

• 3+ years of experience in Linux systems administration.
• Experience working with UAS systems.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as QEMU‑KVM, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with advanced network configuration and management, including managed switches and firewalls.
• IAT Level II or Linux OS based certification.
