Position Responsibility Summary- Primary Function - Vulnerability Management (PWS 1.16.4.6, 1.16.4.8):
Develops the Vulnerability Management Plan, prepares IAVM Test Reports, and executes vulnerability and weakness remediation prioritization across all PAE Fires systems. Maintains the continuous scanning, patching, and remediation cycle required by ARCYBER and DISA. - Cross-Functional Patch & Backup Coordination (PWS 1.16.3.1, 1.16.8):
Cross-trained in System Management patch management and Backup and Recovery. Enables the analyst to coordinate patch deployment windows directly with the Server team and validate that backup snapshots are captured prior to system updates. Ensures rollback capability exists before any patch is applied, eliminating the risk of uncoordinated patching (where a security patch is applied without a verified backup) and managing the full lifecycle from vulnerability identification through post-patch validation.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
Executing vulnerability management programs; utilizing DoD scanning tools (e.g., ACAS/Nessus, SCAP Compliance Checker); tracking and reporting IAVMs; coordinating enterprise patch deployments. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. - Certifications:
IAT Level II certification required per DoDM 8140.03. - Years of
Experience:
5 to 10 years of cybersecurity analysis and vulnerability management experience. - Security Clearance:
Active SECRET clearance.

Work Arrangement:
On-site (embedded within the OCIO); situational telework may be authorized on a case-by-case basis with COR/KO approval
Travel Requirements: CONUS travel may be required; all travel requires prior written COR approval per JTR/FAR 31.205-46
