We are seeking an experienced Senior Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Modeling & Simulation Engineer to support the U.S. Army Technical Support Management Office (TSMO). This position will provide subject matter expertise in the development, analysis, and validation of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) efforts supporting Army PNT technologies, capabilities, and operational concepts.
The successful candidate will work alongside government engineers, operational analysts, and technical teams to develop defensible analytical products, evaluate emerging PNT technologies, and build data-driven mission analysis cases that support acquisition decisions, technology maturation, experimentation, and operational planning. This role requires a strong understanding of GPS/GNSS-denied operations, Assured PNT (APNT), and the application of modeling and simulation to evaluate system performance across complex operational environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) analyses supporting Army PNT initiatives.
- Develop and execute analytical cases to evaluate PNT system performance across operational scenarios.
- Build mission threads, use cases, and simulation scenarios that demonstrate the operational value of emerging PNT technologies.
- Analyze system performance in GPS-contested, degraded, and denied environments.
- Develop measures of effectiveness (MOEs), measures of performance (MOPs), and quantitative metrics supporting technical evaluations.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, system engineers, software developers, and operational users to define simulation requirements.
- Evaluate trade studies, technology alternatives, and architecture options using modeling and simulation tools.
- Support technical reviews, engineering working groups, and customer briefings.
- Prepare technical documentation, white papers, analysis reports, and executive-level briefings.
- Support experimentation, demonstrations, and validation activities associated with PNT technologies.
- Provide technical recommendations supporting future capability development and acquisition strategies.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience supporting Department of Defense programs.
- Experience supporting Army or DoD Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience developing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) solutions for complex defense systems.
- Experience building analytical cases, mission scenarios, and simulation environments to evaluate system capabilities.
- Strong understanding of GPS, GNSS, Assured PNT (APNT), inertial navigation systems, timing systems, and alternative navigation technologies.
- Experience performing engineering analyses, trade studies, and operational assessments.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
- Active Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline.
- Experience supporting Army TSMO, DEVCOM, PEO Missiles & Space, CCDC, or other Army modernization organizations.
- Familiarity with Army Modeling & Simulation environments
- Knowledge of electronic warfare (EW), cyber effects, sensor fusion, autonomy, or multi-domain operations.
- Experience supporting Operational Test, Experimentation, or Analysis of Alternatives (AoA).
- Engineers, Analysts, and Developers at Cintel, Inc. are highly motivated, technical, and self‑organized. We place a lot of trust in our team members to develop technical solutions for ill‑defined problems (i.e. thrive in an environment where the problem is vague, requirements are lacking, and a solution is not obvious). We need problem solvers.
- We want our team members to be self‑motivated and eager to learn new skills. If you consider yourself a jack‑of‑all‑trades, and are eager to keep up…
