Network Administrator

Overview

Direct Path Recruiting Services is partnering with a well-established Huntsville organization to identify a talented Network Administrato r who will play a critical role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working across networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and end-user support in a collaborative environment.

• Administer and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems
• Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and user permission
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and system issue
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewall administration and EDR monitoring
• Perform system upgrades, patch management, and hardware refresh initiatives
• Execute backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity
• Document network configurations, policies, procedures, and technical standards
• Partner with internal IT staff on infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and strategic technology initiatives
• Provide occasional after-hours support for maintenance activities and critical issues

• 3+ years of experience in Network Administration, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Support
• Strong experience with
• Active Directory
• DHCP and DNS
• Firewalls and VPN technologies
• Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

• Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or related certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site environments is a plus
