Overview
Direct Path Recruiting Services is partnering with a well-established Huntsville organization to identify a talented Network Administrato r who will play a critical role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working across networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and end-user support in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do- Administer and support network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems
- Manage and maintain Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and user permission
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and system issue
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewall administration and EDR monitoring
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and hardware refresh initiatives
- Execute backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity
- Document network configurations, policies, procedures, and technical standards
- Partner with internal IT staff on infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and strategic technology initiatives
- Provide occasional after-hours support for maintenance activities and critical issues
- 3+ years of experience in Network Administration, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Support
- Strong experience with
- Active Directory
- DHCP and DNS
- Firewalls and VPN technologies
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or related certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site environments is a plus
