Description Pending Contract Award Position ResponsibilitySummary:
Primary Function - Telecom & Mission Networks (PWS 1.16.2, 1.16.2.1, 1.16.2.6):
Implements mission network solutions across voice, data, and video technologies, establishes and maintains telecom infrastructure, and delivers network Configuration Management (CM) services. Supports a strict 24/7 availability mandate for mission-critical communications.
Cross-Functional Service Desk Escalation (PWS 1.16.6.2, 1.16.6.3):
** Cross-trained in Service Desk Technical Guidance and Technical Assistance to provide Tier 3 network escalation support directly from the telecom team. When the Service Desk receives complex connectivity trouble calls (e.g., VoIP failures, cross-facility link degradation, or wireless access issues), engages immediately as an escalation resource, diagnosing and resolving network-layer issues to drastically reduce mean time to resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
Voice, video, and data network implementations;
VoIP configuration and troubleshooting; telecommunications infrastructure management; network CM processing. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, IT, Network Engineering, or a related field. - Certifications:
IAT Level II certification required per DoDM 8140.03. - Years of
Experience:
5 to 10 years of telecom/network engineering experience. - Security Clearance:
Active SECRET clearance.

Work Arrangement: On-site (embedded within the OCIO); situational telework may be authorized on a case-by-case basis with COR/KO approval
Travel Requirements: CONUS travel may be required; all travel requires prior written COR approval per JTR/FAR 31.205-46
